Makeup Look: Inspired by The ABH SubCulture Palette

August 01, 2017

Today I decided to share a makeup look inspired by the new Anastasia Subculture Palette. The palette released July 25th and already has some mixed reviews. I haven't purchased the palette yet and I'm not sure If I will, at least at this time. I believe it's a permanent palette so I can probably get my hands on it anytime.

I recently started watching some reviews and tutorials when I discovered Atleeeey a self-taught MUA from LA. She made a beauty tutorial featuring the ABH Subculture Palette, and that was my inspo to create the following look. I basically shopped my makeup stash and found some pretty close shades that can create a similar look to hers, and other looks as well that I will create in the future without having to spend another $42.

So If you're on a budget, or not sure you want to pick up the new Subculture Palette, don't worry and shop your stash. You'll be surprised to find similar shades and still be on trend. Below are the products I used to create my look:

1. Anastasia Beverly Hills Modern Renaissance Palette

I used the shade Realgar for the deep orange shade on my crease

2. Coastal Scents Fall Festival Palette

I used the shade Deep Cantaloupe above the crease to make the colors pop. Although it's a shimmer shade, blended with the ABH shade in Realgar made it look less shimmery, and I like the way it turned out.

3. JCat Beauty Santa Monica Palette

I used the hunter green shade on my outer v, the deep burgundy shade on the center of lid, and the shimmery cream shade on my inner corner. Here are the shades swatched and the full-face look.

Okay beauties so I misspelled Cantaloupe in pic please don't judge me lol

Face products/mascara/eye-shadow primer:

1. e.l.f. Mineral Face Primer

2. Wet N Wild Beauty PhotoFocus Foundation shade Golden Beige

3. Wet N Wild Beauty megaglo Contouring Palette in Caramel Toffee

4. NYX #NoFilter Finishing Powder

5. LA Girl Pro Conceal Yellow Corrector

6. Becca Sunchaser Palette

7. Makeup Revolution Golden Sugar 2 Palette (review here)

8. Urban Decay Eye Shadow Primer

9. Too Faced Better Than Sex Mascara

For the beautiful deep red on my lips, I used Stila Stay All Day Liquid Lipstick in Ricco. I'm obsessed with Stila's liquid lipstick formula and I'm loving the shade. Here's a close-up of the makeup look:

I really like the way the look turned out, let me know in the comments what you think. Also, will you be picking up the ABH Subculture Palette?
